I decided to choose the TV show 'Its always sunny in Philadelphia' which is a comedy. The target audience is mainly 20's because it is set in a pub and the people who own the pub are in there twenties so people in the 20's can relate. The main reason for this show is entertainment seeing as it mainly has no educational value. Its identify its target audience by talking to people in that age range and doing surveys. this TV show mainly uses advertisement on social media or an advert on TV. i would say throughout the series each character becomes one of Propp's theories with the five all being the main character and not just having one main character. I think that's what makes people enjoy it so much and that is that you watch an episode and you don't know who will be the 'villain' or the 'hero'.
