opening sequence

My target audience is going to be teenagers and mostly people of the college. it is going to be a coming of age sort of story but also with elements of danger and horror in the sequence that you dont always notice straight away. The beginning is going to establish who he villain is and the audience will know who it is but the girl will not know so throughout the most of the film we are watching her try to figure out what is going on while we know the whole time.

My opening sequence is going to lighthearted when you first see it but then when you look into more detail you see the its actually scary and everything that is happening is strange so that when you really start the moving you want to know what is going on and what is actually happening over all the happiness.

For my opening sequence I have used videos from a youtube video that was light hearted and happy to a mysterious and scary opening sequence. I have done this by first changing the lighting of the video so some videos are darker than others and create a sense of fear but you don't know what is making you feel that way. towards the end of the opening sequence I decided to make the fact that it is more scary by adding flashing lights to the scene where she is walking down the hallway to also add a sense of urgency to the video that someone or something may be chasing her down the hallway of the library then after that scene is cut straight to the opening sequence leaving the audience to think what is happening? who is chasing her? what is chasing her? why is she being chased?

This make the audience wanting get scary on watching the film to find out what is actually happening because throughout the whole opening sequence scary things are happening but we have no clue at all what is going on or really anything about this girl apart form the fact that she is in school and is a student.

This opening sequence is different to my original plan because my original plan was to make it happy with elements of fear but as the process went on to decide that it was not the best because it  could confuse watchers as to what is going on then making them not want to carry on watching the film.
